As I have told students in courses that I have taught on communication, it is impossible not to communicate. Everything that we do, or don’t do, communicates something to somebody.
The communication process involves receiving information as well as giving it.
At Aussie Dances we are trying to make this whole communication process regarding Aussie Dances as effective as we possibly can make it.
Newsletter Our newsletter is sent out to our subscribers every week.
You can subscribe to our newsletter by clicking the “Join now” button in the above box. There is also a newsletter subscription form on every page of our main web site.
Feedback Form We welcome feedback from all Aussie Dances participants. There is an Aussie Dances Feedback Form on the bottom of every page of our main web site. Simply fill out the information in the four boxes and hit the “Submit” button.
Sending Files and Photos It is easy to send information including files and photos to Aussie Dances for inclusion on the Aussie Dances web site, or for any of the other sites that are included in the Australian Dance Directory. At the bottom of every page of Aussie Dances main web site and each of the web sites that are listed in the Australian Dance directory is a Dance Contact Form. This form is designed for dance studios, dance teachers, performers, bands and others to send appropriate information to the relevant web site. The form can of course also be accessed by clicking on the Dance Contact Form link. I do have an online file folder to which information can be sent. The relevant information on accessing this folder will be given after receipt of the above form.
Aussie Dances Guest Book We do have an increasing number of visitors to our Aussie Dances web site. I have code embedded in the pages of the web site that gives me information regarding the number of visitors, the time of their visits, the pages they visit, the time they spend on the site, and even the countries from which they come. We are getting thousands of visitors to the site every month. Most of these visits are from Australia, but last month (January 2008), there were visits from a total of 22 different countries. I have now placed a Guest Book on the site that any visitor is welcome to complete. The process is very simple. You are welcome to give some relevant information about yourself which could include your interests regarding dance or other activities, your work, even your web address if you have one, or your email contact. Although anyone is welcome to send Guest Book entries, I would really appreciate getting a ‘heap’ from Aussie Dancers initially. Just go to the Guest Book page to complete the relevant information.
Testimonials Another form I have included is a Testimonial Form. Like the Guest Book, the Testimonial Form is very easy to complete. You can even download a picture of yourself on the testimonial if you wish. We continue to receive very positive verbal feedback on our Aussie Dances. If you wish to write a testimonial which you would like others to read, simply fill in the Testimonial Form. Guest Book and Testimonial entries are of course moderated before being published. Completed and approved testimonials can be seen on the View Testimonials page of our main web site.
